Skill Tree
How skills are learned and improved (K key): paths, rows, ranks, upgrades and talents.
Each class has its own Skill Tree (K key), with three paths. The Warrior, for example, has Sword and Shield, Two-Handed and Commander. Each class's full tree is on its page, under Classes.
Points
- A new character starts with only the basic attack and 2 points to choose where to begin.
- Each level gives 1 more point, and some quests give extra points.
- Not even at level 100 can you fill a third of the tree: choosing where to spend is the build.
Rows
Each path has seven rows. A row requires a minimum hero level and a number of points already spent in the rows above it on the same path (in the style of classic talent trees).
What a point buys
- Unlocking a skill in the row.
- Raising a skill rank (each rank needs a hero level).
- Upgrades: improvements to the skill that sit next to it, each needing a minimum rank.
- Talents: passive bonuses with several points.
Right-clicking refunds a point (for gold), as long as no row below is left without the points it requires.
Skill bar
There are 8 slots: the three mouse buttons and the R F T G X keys, plus the ultimate on Q and the dash on Space. Drag the skill from the tree onto the slot.
