“I'm Luzia. I read the bells: what they say, whom they toll for. I also run Jataíra's Trials, as Lyra does in the Vale. Your path to power runs through here too.”
“Seven bells, seven notes. Six still toll. The seventh is drowned, and no one can say for whom.”
“Each bell called something: rain, harvest, mourning, feast, warning, silence. The seventh called the nameless.”
“The Trials are the same in every town: ancient stones that measure who you are. I only keep the door.”

“For the first time in a year, there are no bells. Only the wind. But before it fell, the last toll pointed north... to the mountains.”
“The psalms speak of a Keeper who rang the bells to call rain. The Echo swapped the rain for itself. Bring down the Keeper and the song unravels.”
“So the drowned clapper belongs to the seventh bell... It wasn't stolen, it was hidden. Someone in the temple wanted to silence one note.”
“Goiânthar. The dark-stone citadel. The bells were always afraid of that name.”
